Woodcut
Woodcut is a design concept I developed. The task was to create a cosmetic product, including packaging, logo, and demographic research. I chose a blue-collar, lumberjack-inspired aesthetic, targeting people who rely on their hands for work. The line focused on hand repair and upkeep, inspired in part by my father, who built log homes and often dealt with splinters and calluses. The wooden box shown here was designed and built with his help to create a approachable packaging concept.

Woodcut In Hindsight.
This project was created some time ago, and since then, I’ve had the opportunity to refine my design skills. While many of the original materials are no longer available, I felt it was a great moment to revisit the concept. I updated the typography, but kept the original log and axe elements intact, giving the design a refreshed, more polished look.
The images highlight the Woodcut product line’s rugged, lumberjack-inspired design. Featuring earthy tones, bold typography, and a handcrafted wooden box, the packaging reflects the brand’s blue-collar focus. Key products like “Mt. Hands” balm and “Dust Off” soap are showcased with clean, functional branding. The photos capture the thoughtful design and craftsmanship that bring it all to life.
